So last week I spoke about whether Pingroupie is worth it. If you’ve heard about Pingroupie, no doubt you’ve heard about Tailwind. It’s a popular tool known for its scheduling and analytics features, but is it worth the investment? is Tailwind worth it? Let’s dive to the answer!
Tailwind
Tailwind is a powerful social media management tool designed to streamline scheduling and analytics for Pinterest and Instagram users. It allows you to schedule posts, track performance, and engage with communities to amplify your content’s reach. Tailwind is also an official Pinterest partner, which creates credibility too.
Benefits of the Free Option
Tailwind has a free option, which is absolutely brilliant. It allowed me to dip my toes in first before paying. It’s not like a free trial either – it’s an actually free option, despite of some limitations. Here’s what you could do with the free option (probably there’s more that I haven’t investigated/use … check the website first!!)
- Basic Scheduling: Schedule a limited number of posts per month on Pinterest and Instagram.
- Tailwind Communities: Join up to 5 Tailwind Communities for free. These communities are crucial as they help drive traffic to your blog by sharing and resharing each other’s content.
- Analytics: Gain access to basic analytics to track post performance and audience engagement.
Are these features useful?
Tailwind Communities are a particular game-changer for me:
- Traffic Boost: Joining Tailwind Communities has significantly increased traffic to my Pinterest. I honestly haven’t seen too much blog boost, but hope that will improve overtime! Members share and reshare my within these communities, extending its reach beyond my immediate followers.
- Networking Opportunities: Engaging with like-minded creators in these communities has helped me discover new content ideas and build relationships within my niche. I scroll down in these communities, which is basically like a Pinterest board.
- Content Amplification: Community members actively promote and amplify my content, driving organic traffic and boosting visibility on Pinterest. I suppose because people on Tailwind are also bloggers trying to market their products, so they understand what it feels and help each other out!
Assessing Paid Options
- Community Limits: Except for the highest-tier plan, other paid options restrict you to a maximum of 5 Tailwind Communities. To me, this limitation does not justify the cost since community engagement is my primary focus.
- Cost Considerations: While paid plans offer additional features like unlimited scheduling and advanced analytics, they may not be necessary unless you require extensive social media management capabilities beyond community engagement. As I mentioned above, Tailwind has really increased my Pinterest traffic, but I haven’t seen so much traffic to my blog specifically. So it doesn’t make sense for me to spend money on Tailwind, especially that it’s not cheap!
Personal Conclusion
So, to answer the question. Is Tailwind worth it? At the end I chose to use the free option of Tailwind and that’s right for me at the moment.
- Community Engagement: The ability to join and benefit from 5 Tailwind Communities drives significant traffic and engagement to my Pinterest. The members of the communities are really good at
- Cost Efficiency: It allows me to leverage community-driven traffic without incurring additional expenses, making it ideal for bloggers seeking to maximize their reach.
Is Tailwind Worth It? My Take

Whether you’re just starting or looking to expand your social media presence, leveraging these communities can significantly boost your Pinterest, and possibly your blog’s visibility.
